The first service at Hales Point Baptist Church on the
Mississippi River took place September 18, 1950. Later, in 1952,
Sunday School rooms were added. After the church had been inactive
for several years, in 1998 Ronnie and Charlene Roberts purchased the
building fro the land owner, Mrs. Edie Bird.
It was moved in three sections to the current location
at Charlene's Colony of Shoppes where it was transformed by a year of
renovating, much hard work and endurance, and many gallons of paint into
the "Just Divine Tea Room." The kitchen was added after
the building was relocated. The Blue Toile Room and Green &
White Room are the original Sunday School Rooms.
The latest addition is our Formal Dining Room which will seat 50
people. It is suitable for Wedding Parties ~ Rehearsal Dinners ~
Banquets ~ Family Gatherings and many other events. We will be happy
to cater and make your party and event to remember!
